Set up in a few minutes
- Install the app from the Shopify App Store. The app opens on Home with a setup guide.
- In step 1, click Enable in theme editor. Your theme editor opens with “Offer widgets” switched on under App embeds. Click Save.
- Click Create offer, pick a template, choose products, check the result in Try it, and save. The offer is live right away unless you set a later start date.
- Optional: in step 3, add the Offer box block to your product template to choose exactly where offers appear. Without it, offers appear above the Add to cart button.
Troubleshooting
My offer doesn’t show on the product page
- Check the app embed: Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds → “Offer widgets”.
- Check that the offer is Active (not Draft or Scheduled) in the Offers list.
- Check that the product is included in the offer: specific products, collections, or all products.
- App embeds are turned on per theme. After publishing a new theme, switch the embed on again.
The cart doesn’t show my discount
Shopify applies the best discount when discounts don’t combine. If another product discount gives a bigger saving and the two are not allowed to combine, Shopify uses that one. Open the offer and adjust Combinations, or the other discount’s combination settings.
The free gift isn’t added
- The gift product must be active, in stock, and available on the Online Store sales channel.
- The cart must reach the amount or quantity of a gift tier. The gift itself does not count toward it.
- If a shopper removes an automatic gift, it is not added back during that browsing session.
I can’t activate another offer
Shopify allows up to 25 active app discounts per store, across all apps. Pause offers you no longer need, or combine tiers into one offer.
My theme isn’t Online Store 2.0, or my store is headless
Discounts still apply in the cart and at checkout because Shopify calculates them. The offer box and progress bars need a theme that supports app embeds.
Common questions
How do I test an offer before shoppers see it?
Use Try it in the offer editor: it runs the same rules as checkout. Then save the offer and add products to a cart on your store.
What do combinations mean?
Each offer chooses whether it can apply together with other product, order and shipping discounts. Two discounts combine only when both allow it.
What’s the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes all six offer types, 3 active offers and unlimited orders. Growth adds unlimited offers, flash sales, the floating deals button, full analytics, customer rules and market targeting. Pro adds code offers, customer segments, A/B tests and priority support. Plans are on the app’s Plans page.
Does it slow down my store?
The storefront script is about 9 KB gzipped, comes from Shopify’s CDN, and never calls our servers.
What happens when I uninstall?
Shopify removes the app’s discounts, its app embed and its data in your store. No code is left in your theme.
